This interface has been designed to be operated by a member of the Television production team, in the production control room. It allows questions, messages and statistical information to be sent to the Interactive TV Interface, with the answers being collated and viewed.
Asking a question via the system is very simple, and only requires a small amount of information and interaction.
The results panel shows the question title, question text, question type and number of responses. The results can be displayed in graphical form or as plain text depending on the type of question.
Users can change the chart type to a selection of predefined charts, publish the results to the viewer and close the question so no further answers are collected, via the results section.
The system also includes the ability to send information to the TV interface, in the form of a message, which is plain text.
And statistical information for the sport, from a predefined list of sports and statistical sets such as half-time stats for a football match.
